The Most Important LGBTQ event; an opinion piece

 TO me, the most important event/date that directly affected the LGBTQ+ community was on 6/26/2015, when Obergefell v. Hodges, which ruled that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples by both the Due Process Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution. As a gay man, this ruling secured my future nationally and legally and has opened space for those similar to me to live their best life. This ruling cannot and won't ever be overturned. We are setting an example for other countries as well.
